Distressing Theft in Canterbury

Police are appealing for the public's help to find the person who stole a woman's head scarf while she was walking in Canterbury.
Officers are treating this as a racially-motivated incident that has been distressing for the 37-year-old Iranian woman involved.
It has been reported to police by a member of the woman's family that she was outside the Chaucer Technology School in Spring Lane between 1pm and 1.30pm on Monday 31 March when somebody snatched her blue hijab from her head.
There are very few details of the suspect, other than he is male, white, 5ft 5ins tall with a medium build and short, straight mousey colour hair. He was wearing a light blue jean jacket, black army-style jogging bottoms and white trainers. We do not have an age.
