London youths arrested in Herne Bay

Three youths aged 15, 16 and 17 from the London area were arrested in Albany Drive in Herne Bay at 7.30am yesterday on suspicion of taking a vehicle without consent and having no insurance after a member of the public reported some unusual activity in the road.
The red BMW they were with had been reported stolen during a car jacking incident in Lewisham in London on 6 April this year.
Detectives are also looking at the possible links between the youths and four men suspected of a robbery at a Thanet bookmakers at around the same time.
The three youths have been released on bail pending further inquiries until 16 June 2008.
