Herne Bay man to hospital after slip road crash

A 32-year-old man was taken to the QEQM Hospital last night (27 February 2008) after his car turned on to its roof and caught fire on the slip road off the A299 at the Margate Road and Blacksole Bridge junction in Herne Bay.
Police and other emergency services were called just after 10pm to the crash and the driver was taken to hospital to be treated for head injuries and was detained overnight .
A road sign was damaged in the crash and after he car was removed and debris cleared up the slip road was reopened just after 1am.
